We’re proud to share that Brainalyze has been featured in a recent BBC News article highlighting the groundbreaking progress being made in rapid dementia diagnosis.
The piece covers the Holistic Optical Biomarkers to Transform Dementia Diagnosis (HOpE) project – a collaborative initiative led by researchers at the University of Southampton and University Hospital Southampton. At the heart of the innovation is Multi-excitation Raman spectroscopy (MX-Raman), a powerful laser-based technique that can detect early biochemical signs of dementia from just a single drop of fluid.

Brainalyze is excited to be contributing to the development of this technology by helping translate complex data into accessible, actionable insights. With promising early results – a 93% accuracy rate across 150 patient assessments – the goal is clear: to accelerate diagnosis and get people onto treatment pathways far earlier than current approaches allow.
This milestone marks a step forward not only in science and healthcare but in improving lives.
We’re honoured to be part of it.
